Handles in different wood species and 100% hard boar bristles: perceived quality begins with the materials.
We were founded in 2017 in Italy from a climber's passion for a seemingly simple object.
Since then, every model has evolved between the workshop, the rock face, and feedback from those who use it.
In 2017 a knee injury forced Adi to stop.
Always passionate about climbing brushes — he used to buy them everywhere — he used that time to build the first brush he could call his own.
The initial result, as he tells it himself, was ugly, uncomfortable, and ineffective.
But his passion for wood, manual work, and continuous improvement drove him not to stop at the first attempt.
Surface, stiffness, density, and bristle material change the tool's behavior.
For us, choosing a NUT means choosing what is truly needed on the rock.
Handles in different wood species and 100% hard boar bristles: perceived quality begins with the materials.
Bristle size, stiffness, handle, and balance are developed according to the intended use.
A pleasant, controlled brushing action capable of following the surface without losing precision.
Every new NUT starts from a concrete need: changing size, hardness, grip, or material.
We transform Adi’s idea into a prototype handcrafted in his workshop.
The climbing brush leaves the workshop to be tested on the rock.
Constant feedback from professional climbers from all over the world who use Nut leads to further modifications; only the best solutions reach the market.
The first prototypes are made in Italy directly by Adi.
For some models, once the design is finalized, machine processing is introduced to make production more efficient.
The bristling is entrusted to an Italian artisan who has been collaborating with Adi for ten years.
For us, handcrafted means transforming an idea into a product with one's own hands, without claiming a production process is entirely manual when it is not.
The first brushes were made of walnut wood.
This is the origin of the name Nut Brushes.
Over time, the project introduced different types of wood—including larch, amaranth, ebony, zebrano, ziricote, olive, and wenge—but that name has remained the connection to our origins.

Nut models are named after climbing spots.
A way to bring together object, territory, and climbing culture, and to open every product up to the history of the place from which it takes its name.
Every place has a story to tell.
Our vision is to build a complete range dedicated to cleaning rock and holds, with future Soft and Vegan lines.
We want to promote the Italian climbing heritage, collaborate with professional climbers, and contribute, in our own small way, to the cleaning of new areas and the maintenance of existing ones.
